Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a thorough understanding of UK National funding programmes (Innovate UK, APC, UKRI)
  • Optionally, a good understanding of European funding programmes (Horizon Europe, Eureka programme, LIFE, EU Defense Fund, Innovation Fund, etc.)
  • Supporting the growth and development of the business – creating a network and portfolio of clients, recognizing business opportunities and being commercially aware.
  • Working with SMEs within various sectors including energy, environment, chemical, biotechnology, ICT, health, transport, manufacturing and provide strategic innovation and funding services.
  • Capturing and clearly presenting complex information in a written form to a technical and non-technical audience; developing robust project proposal, clear business plans and strategies for client projects.

What we need from you:

  • Strong technical academic background (degree in scientific subject is desirable);
  • At least 2 years' experience in Innovation Consulting ideally advising on or acquiring Grants and Incentives programmes;
  • Strong technical narrative skills, and ability to create concise, argumentative copy;
  • Project management capability; ability to coordinate numerous campaigns at once;
  • Client management skills;
  • Passionate about supporting innovative businesses;
  • Team player and willingness to learn
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently and remotely
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and capable of seeking additional opportunities
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize the sales activity
  • Demonstrated ability to create, develop, and enhance customer relationships
  • Demonstrated strong written/verbal communication skills (English with second language, preferably German is desirable)
