Corporate Tax Manager

We are looking to support our ambitious growth plans by recruiting an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to work collectively with the existing team to manage a portfolio of corporate tax cases with a keen focus on advisory work.
Job role
The advisory work will involve M&A transactions, tax due diligence, share option schemes, restructures and reorganisations, succession and exit planning including but not limited to company buybacks, capital reductions & MBO’s.
In addition, you will be responsible for undertaking technical compliance reviews of corporation tax computations prepared by the team.
This is an autonomous role where you will have responsibility for managing the projects undertaken, maximising fee income and identifying business opportunities, controlling work in progress and billing for services provided.
While the role is focused on corporate matters, ideally you will have some knowledge/experience in personal tax, VAT if possible and Stamp Duty/Stamp Duty Land Tax.
Experience/skills
- Holds a relevant professional qualification such as ATT or CTA (or equivalent).
- Demonstrates broad and strong technical tax knowledge and experience.
- Good client handling technique including excellent written and presentation skills
- Able to build good relationships with clients and members of the internal team.
- Ability to take ownership of projects.
- Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and disciplined.
- Organised and methodical with strong numerical abilities.
