Graduate Recruitment

Streets recruit a number of high calibre graduates looking to further their education towards either the ACA or ATT qualifications onto its training scheme every year.

Do you have at least two A levels and three GSCE passes including Maths & English (Grades A-B) or equivalent along with a total UCAS score of 220?

Have you or do you expect to achieve a minimum of a 2.1 in your degree?

Do you want to have a professional career and obtain an internationally recognised accountancy/tax qualification?

Do you want to start your career with a progressive independent firm that prides itself on its ability to develop Partners of the future?

If you answer yes to these questions then the ACA or ATT qualification could be the one for you.

Accountancy

Streets will support students in studying towards the ACA qualification. You would be placed on a three-year training contract and the firm will fund your tuition, exams and study leave for first time exam sittings.

As well as passing your exams you are also required to obtain a certain amount of technical work experience during this period before you can apply to be a chartered member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England & Wales. We would ensure that you meet these work experience requirements through the undertaking of regular reviews with our students and providing them mentoring support throughout their training contract.

Taxation

If you are interested in pursuing the specialist taxation route following your degree then the ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians) qualification would be a good option to consider.

Streets Tax LLP offers opportunities for students to work for us as ATT trainees within our dedicated tax practice.
You will be placed on a training contract and the firm will fund your tuition, exams and study leave for first time exam sittings. You would have regular reviews and mentoring support throughout the period of your training contract.

Once you have completed your training, we can reward you with a successful career pathway and continued professional development and professional study for the next step in your career.

What our staff say about working at Streets

I started at Streets fresh out of sixth form just over 17 years ago. I’d done my work experience at a local firm of accountants and applied for an apprenticeship because I liked numbers and I didn’t want to go to university. I started out doing my AAT qualification and moved on to gain my ACA qualification. The mix of learning on the job with dedicated breaks for study helped embed the theory of the qualification into the practical aspects of the job. Working in a smaller ‘satellite’ office I gained a lot of experience in many areas of accountancy: audit, tax, bookkeeping and software, payroll, and so I have been able to maximise this varied foundation to my benefit as I progressed further in my career. I have had a fantastic team of mentors over the years who have helped me get to where I am today. I have been encouraged out of my comfort zone with a great support network, not just locally but across the firm as a whole. The technical expertise within the firm is an excellent resource bank to call upon and it’s great to know you can speak to talented individuals on the end of the phone/Teams. Seeing the firm grow over the last few years leaves me excited for the next 17.

Streets have been a fantastic support throughout my career, from my very first day as a trainee right through to becoming a Partner. There is a real team environment with everyone working well together.

In 2015 I had the opportunity to gain a week’s work experience with Streets, in the Lincoln Office. At the time I was 16, studying the first year of my A – levels and feeling quite overwhelmed and lost with how the next few years of my education or how the start of my career would look. In that week, I found exactly what I was looking for. Streets offered me the opportunity to join the firm as a full time Trainee Accountant, with immediate effect. Since then, there has been support in every meaning of the word, full emotional, professional and financial support through my AAT studies, through my Chartered studies and through the development and growth of my professional and personal life. From that scary first morning in August 2015, all the way to today, Streets have given me nothing but opportunity and backing to achieve every possible success that I can. To this day Streets stand beside me as my partner and the foundation of my upward trajectory.

I began my career at Streets as a school leaver, first completing my AAT qualification and then progressing to a level 7 apprenticeship and becoming an ICAEW qualified Chartered Accountant. Working for Streets, a mixed practice, has been invaluable for career progression, providing experience across a broad range of clients and sectors. Joining the firm in 2015 as a school leaver, and being one of the first to pioneer the newly created ICAEW apprenticeships at the time, has allowed me a wide practical experience to then specialise in areas of choice as my career has developed with Streets. We have a positive workplace culture, where hard work is rewarded and our staff are supported to develop their skills and experiences, to ultimately deliver the best possible service to our clients.

I began my studies a few months into my Streets career picking up levels 3 & 4 of AAT. I had the tools and knowledge available to me in the workplace which helped transition into my exam successes, and onto my further studies with ACCA. Streets have always given me the flexibility to put my studies first as they understand how important it is for individuals to gain their respective qualifications, and how it benefits the firm as a whole. Since gaining the qualification through ACCA, Streets have remained supportive and are happy to work with me to progress and achieve my career goals’

I joined Streets with no previous experience in my area of work, eager to learn as much as I could. Streets have provided me with the opportunity to study for an ATT qualification and given me the necessary resources and support to ensure I have the best chance to succeed in my studies. They have shown me I can progress as far as I want to in my career in personal tax and broadened my horizons, showing me many varied and exciting career paths I can take should I choose to do so.
