We are pleased to announce the launch of our dedicated Innovation grants consultancy.

This will be headed by Chris Parkhurst who has a wealth of experience from over a decade working with companies from all industry sectors, to access game changing funding for their innovation projects from a wide variety of UK and EU funding bodies.

The UK has a wide variety of grant programmes that can support UK businesses at various stages of their innovation journeys and these grants can provide a huge boost to research and development (R&D) projects to help bring cutting edge ideas to life. The UK grant landscape is dynamic and constantly evolving with new funding opportunities emerging regularly. We will stay at the forefront of these developments to make sure our clients have access to the latest programmes that align with your specific innovation goals.

Streets Innovation will be your one-stop shop for all aspects of the grants process. Our team of experts will guide you through every step from identifying the most suitable grant program for your project, to crafting a compelling application that stands out from the crowd.

We understand that every client is different and so is their project. Our consultants will work closely with you to develop a customised strategy that will maximize your chances of success.

Commenting on our innovation grants consultancy, Chris Parkhurst said: “I am really excited to be launching this service with Streets. Our teams combined expertise will allow us to support our clients to find the best funding opportunities available and curate the best grant strategies maximising their chances of success in some very competitive funding competitions.”

Below are some of the live funds that are currently available. Due to the recent election there are fewer funds than normal but now that has passed we expect to see, over the next couple of months, more funds being launched from Innovate UK – the UK’s main funding body.

Innovate UK Smart grant:

Grant amount: £100k - £1 million – Deadline: 24/07/24 – Sector: Open

Smart is the UK’s open innovation programme aimed at projects developing genuinely novel, innovative and disruptive technology or processes that are significantly different from already available products, with clear potential to solve real world problems or challenges and set for rapid commercialisation following development.

Smart is a recurring fund with 3 or 4 deadlines per year so even though this one is closing there will be another one launching soon after.

Bridge AI supply chain demonstrator:

Grant amount: £1.9 Million to £2 Million – Deadline: 21/08/24 – Sector: ICT/Logistics

UK organisations can apply for a share of up to £2 million to develop AI demonstrator projects that will benefit efficiency in supply chains to increase firm level productivity. The aim is to develop a product or process that enables data from SMEs and large organisations to be shared in a trust less environment focusing on:

  • federated database systems
  • data access layers
  • novel privacy enhancing technologies and differential privacy systems
  • multimodal AI
  • data interoperability

Innovate UK Investor partnership:

Grant amount: Up to £2 Million – Deadline: 14/08/24

A partnership between Innovate UK and a bank of private investors. SMEs in the UK can apply for dual support in the grant and private investment up to £2 million. Perfect for innovators who also want to grow by securing investors and simultaneously de-risking the innovation with a grant.

Investor partnership is focusing on funding projects in the following themes:

  • net zero
  • health and wellbeing
  • next generation digital technologies and technology families

The focus for this round is on:

  • Mindset – the application of extended reality for digital mental health including immersive content that could be delivered as a digital mental health therapeutic in a formal healthcare setting.
  • Creative catalyst – Innovative digital technology in, for example animation, architecture, games, photography, publishing and radio.
