Brunch with an Enterprising Bunch

This special event at Lincolnshire Business Expo 2022 will see a panel of entrepreneurs sharing their experiences and thoughts on starting and running their own businesses.

With a seemingly growing number of young people opting for self-employment as opposed employment and on the back of a pandemic, we will explore more about what inspires people to embrace enterprise. We will also look at the challenges and opportunities faced and consider what lasting impact the pandemic and digitalisation have had on new starts and those growing a business.

Panel members will also be invited to share their top tips and advice for those thinking of starting their own business.

Our panel will be facilitated by Streets Partner, James Pinchbeck, and will include:

Emily Mumford, founder of InkPot & Press and Springwood Tree Services and co-owner of Letterbox Beauty

Emily is (with her primary professional hat on) a freelance creative copywriter working in the B2B and B2C sectors. Having studied English Literature & Language with Classics at the University of Edinburgh followed by Law at the University of Nottingham, Emily now writes for multi six & seven figure businesses, Olympians and game-changing clients.

Mohammed Alexander, co-founder of Executives

Mo is a permanent recruitment specialist based in the heart of the East Midlands, working with some of the fastest-growing and exciting organisations in the Education, Commercial, Industrial and Hospitality sectors, matching rockstar candidates with the most sought after employers.

Luke Smith, Seaweed Culture

Whilst an undergraduate studying Law at the University of Lincoln, Luke was driven by his passion to tackle climate change and was inspired to make a difference through establishing Seaweed Culture. With a focus on making agriculture more sustainable, Luke’s business aims to tackle the growing problem of methane emissions from livestock. Luke was featured in the Lincolnite’s 30 Under 30 in 2021.

Dumi Siwo, founder and Creative Director of Firmative

Dumi is a university graduate with a degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production with over 10 years’ experience in digital media and content production. Megan Gell, Vegan Treats and Meg’s Kitchen

Megan supplies vegan food, treat boxes and celebration cakes directly to local businesses and individuals.
